Site civil design, permitting and due diligence for people who build.
WCH Consulting is a licensed civil engineering firm on Johns Island, SC. I take sites from feasibility through sealed construction plans and the permits that let you build them, in South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina.

What I do
Design and permitting for the land side of a project. Plans are produced in Civil 3D, drainage is modeled in HydroCAD, and every set leaves with a PE seal in the state it's built in.

Builders, developers and the professionals who serve them
Most of my work is repeat work for land managers at production builders, land developers, and surveyors and architects who need a PE on the team.
- Production and custom builders. Lot grading, driveway encroachments, amenity sites, landscape plans and the stream of lot-level certifications a division needs to keep closing.
- Land developers and investors. Feasibility first, then subdivision design and permitting that follows the AHJ's own checklist.
- Surveyors, architects and engineering firms. Sealed civil sheets for your plat or building package, in whichever of the three states the job is in.
- Commercial owners and contractors. Change-of-use reviews, site plans and utility connections for small commercial sites.

How I work
One engineer, start to finish. You get the person who designed it on the phone, the same day. Scope is written against the agency's own checklist so the set gets reviewed once.

Principal · WCH Consulting, LLC
I founded WCH Consulting in 2020 to do site civil work the way builders and developers actually need it done: fast, sealed, and reviewed by the person who drew it. I'm a licensed professional engineer in South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina.
I also serve as a civil engineer in the Air Force Reserve with the 622nd Civil Engineer Flight. WCH Consulting is an SBA-certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business.
Tell me about the site.
Send the address or parcel number and what you want to build. I'll come back with what the jurisdiction will require and a scope to get there.
